saturday morning i woke up about 9:00am. i just finished brewing some coffee and was peering through my kitchen window to look out at my backyard desert view. i noticed something white moving out there. then, i saw my neighbor's heads peaking over the fence. so, being nosey i walked out to the edge of my backyard to see more closely what was going on down there. it was a line of hundreds of people 40 feet apart combing the desert for something. so, feeling a little alarmed because i was by myself, i called jeff who was on a snowboarding trip to find out more info for me. he called his friend here on the fire department to see what all the action was about. i already suspected they were looking for a body after seeing so many cop shows over the years. jeff called me back and said that it was in fact a search party for a body of 22 year old girl. they had found her car abandoned. it was quite an amazing site to see all these people gathered together so early in the morning to find her. i don't know what the final outcome was. i suspect they didn't find her... read more here.
